Put Customers First

Adam Higdon Palatine is a sales professional who is blessed with sharp wit and a passion for digital advertising technology. He believes he has found his dream job as the Director of Media Optimisation and enjoys helping clients solve problems or improve the performance of existing marketing initiatives. His goal as a member of Adobe Technology is to improve the agency business so much that it exceeds expectations. He has already exhibited the ability to put the customer’s satisfaction first and this is a step in reaching that goal. The customer is the bread and butter of the business, without them there is no business. As Erika Lyremark, founder of Lyremark Business design once stated, “If you are not selling anything, you are not in business.”

Here are some pointers, to take note of when attempting to put customers first:

  • Meet your customer’s needs. If you do not have what the customer wants, you will lose them. When manufacturing new products, always think about how it will benefit your customer.
  • No one likes to be lied to so always tell the truth. This will show your customers that you trust your product and their ability to make the right decision based on your product offering.
  • Listen to your customer’s needs. When you know what they need then then you will know what to offer, and what will satisfy them.
  • Pay attention to social media because today’s customer will take to social media to comment on or discuss your product. You can also manage your customer online and address their concerns speedily.
  • Train your staff properly. When your staff know your product, and know how to deal with customers, then there is no reason your customer should not leave the store or establishment pleasantly.

All in all, do not be afraid to put the customer first. Take the risk of the initial loss, for greater future gains and a long term customer relationship.

Sports Fanatic

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Adam Higdon Palatine developed a love for sports from a young age and seemingly passed this love on to his children. His children are involved in soccer, football and gymnastics and he is fond of watching them play and enjoy their sport. Palatine follows different sports and these are his teams: Cubs, Bears Blackhawks, The Bulls and Notre Dame Football.

Being raised in Chicago, it is natural that the Bulls, Cubs and the Bears would be at the top of his list. He has cheered for them since youth and enjoys cheering for them still. Now, the Blackhawks are a hockey team that sits at the top of the Central division of the NHL’s western conference, this alone recommends them as a force to be reckoned with in that sport. Adam Higdon Palatine gains enjoyment and satisfaction from watching these sports, and his children experience the same when playing the sport. Involvement in sports is said to do many things for a child’s growth and development here are three advantages listed below:

  • Discipline gained from participating in a sport can spill over into the classroom and into life. It is good when children learn responsibility at a young age and sports can help them to do so.
  • Sports help to build children’s confidence.
  • Children learn through watching games, imagine how much they would learn if they played the game.

Just like with anything else, too much sports in could become a bad thing especially when it is being prioritized over school work, taking care of yourself and life. Ensure that children are guided properly so that they do not abuse their newfound love for sports. Instead show them how to use sports as a tool for happiness and improvement of their personal like.

Adam Higdon Palatine: Expert Infantryman’s Badge

Adam Higdon of Palatine is a Director of Media Optimization for Adobe Systems, Inc, where he has worked since 2011. He is passionate about technology and digital media, and says that in many ways, working at Adobe is his dream job.

Adam Higdon of Palatine is also a veteran of the United States Army. “I entered the Army after high school in 1991 and earned my Expert Infantryman's Badge as a member of the elite 3/9th Infantry Battalion (Manchus) in Fort Ord California,” he recalls. “Transitioned to Fort Lewis Washington in 1992 to join the 2/75th Ranger Battalion.”

The Expert Infantryman’s Badge was instituted by the United States Army to recognize what is too often a tough and thankless job on the battlefield. As Adam Higdon of Palatine can confirm, the badge adds a certain prestige to what is otherwise an undesirable but necessary job. The Infantryman has historically played a significant role in the defense of the nation during wartime.

To be eligible for the badge, a candidate must fulfill a series of requirements, including volunteering for Expert Infantryman Badge testing. He must receive the recommendation of his commanding officer; must qualify as an expert with the M16 series rifle or M4 carbine; must score as an Expert on the 11C Gunner’s test; and must pass the standard for the twelve-mile foot march within ninety days of the EIB testing date.

There are additional unit requirements for earning the Expert Infantryman’s Badge. Potential Badge recipients are carefully evaluated by their commanders before they are recommended to the EIB board. As Adam Higdon of Palatine knows, it’s a careful process because those who receive the Badge represent its standards for the duration of their military careers.

Since finishing college he has never stopped learning; he has earned professional certificates, and completed independent business courses from Cornell, Stanford, and other institutions.

“While at North Park,” he adds, “I was also a member of the International Honor Society in Psychology, or Psi Chi.” Psi Chi is a very select honor society and Adam Higdon of Palatine was honored and privileged to be a member. The organization is committed to advancing the science and profession of psychology, and to produce ethical and socially responsible members. Adam Higdon Palatine - Sports Fan

Adam Higdon of Palatine has worked at Adobe Systems, Inc since 2011. He is a Director of Media Optimization, a sales professional, and an expert on digital media. “I simply want to help my clients solve problems or improve the performance of existing marketing initiatives,” he says.

He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up an avid fan of most of its sports teams. He has always been a fan of the Cubs, and with countless other Cub fans has suffered through some difficult years and have not appeared in the World Series since 1945. They haven’t won the World Series since 1908, which as Adam Higdon of Palatine knows all too well is the longest period without a championship of any major professional sports team in North America. But like all baseball fans, he also knows that the promise of a new baseball season always holds out hope for a reversal of fortunes.

The Chicago Bears of the National Football League have completed another bruising season without a playoff berth. Led by quarterback Jay Cutler, the Bears finished last in the NFC North, with a disappointing 5-11 win-loss record, their first losing season since 2009.

The Blackhawks, meanwhile, are providing Adam Higdon of Palatine and other hockey fans a lot of excitement. Heading into the new year, the team is sitting on top of the Central Division of the NHL’s Western Conference. One of the NHL’s “Original Six” teams, the Hawks have been a team to be reckoned with in recent years, winning the Stanley Cup in 2013.

The Chicago Bulls are also leading their division as 2015 gets underway. Forbes magazine has ranked the Bulls the third most valuable NBA franchise as of 2013, with an estimated value of one billion dollars, although to fans like Adam Higdon of Palatine they are priceless.
